University of Lucknow is starting a few new and innovative schemes for both its teachers and students under the Internal Quality Assurance Cell and the Dean of Student Welfare. IQAC is starting 3 schemes named Protsaahan (a novel scheme for seed money), Uddeepan (Best research paper award) and Acclain (incentivisation policy) for the University teachers. Along with this a scheme for retired teachers of the University named ‘Professors of Eminence’ is also being started so that their expertise too can be harnessed. Under the Dean of Student Welfare, a Student Welfare Fund (previously named Poor Student Aid Fund) has also been started, as well as a scheme called ‘Karmayogi’ has also been launched. Under the Karmayogi scheme, every selected student will be awarded a maximum amount of Rs. 15,000/- per academic session.
