Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar’s life journey has been inspiring in itself. There were many stages of this journey. Each had a glimpse of his personality and creativity. In such a situation, dignified monuments should have been built at these places decades ago. But none other than the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government paid attention to it. Atal Bihari Vajpayee had decided to develop his residence in New Delhi as a memorial. But the UPA government kept this scheme in the pending list according to its working style. In the early stages of becoming the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi paid attention to this. Not only this, he also established all the five sites related to Dr. Ambedkar as grand monuments. These include his birthplace in Mhow, the initiation land of Nagpur, the memorial residence in London, the Alipore Mahanirvana Sthali and the Chaityabhoomi in Mumbai. This government had declared 2015 as the one hundred and twenty-fifth birth anniversary year of Ambedkar. Many programs related to Dr. Ambedkar were organized this year. His birthday, April 14, was declared as Harmony Day and November twenty-sixth as Constitution Day. It was decided to send hundred students to London School of Economics and Columbia University for research. Dr. Ambedkar studied in both these institutions.

Dr. Ambedkar was the first law minister of independent India. After resigning from the Union Cabinet on 1 November 1951, he moved to the house of the Maharaja of Sirohi at 26 Alipore Road, Delhi where he breathed his last on 6 December 1956 and attained Mahaparinirvana. In the memory of Dr. Ambedkar, former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee dedicated the Mahaparinirvan Sthal to the nation in 2003. Its foundation stone was laid by the Prime Minister in March 2016. This building has been built as a memorial to the framer of the Constitution, Baba Saheb, the building has been given the shape of a book. It has an exhibition space, memorial, meditation center with Buddha statue, twelve feet bronze statue of Dr. Ambedkar. Eleven meters high Ashoka Pillar at the entrance and a meditation center has been built at the rear. The initiative of the memorial was done by the first government of BJP, it was brought to its end by the second government of BJP. Yogi Adityanath has also been making efforts in this sequence. In Uttar Pradesh, many places related to Dalit saints and thinkers are being given grandeur. Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial and Cultural Center will be established in Lucknow’s Aishbagh at a cost of about 50 crores. President Ram Nath Kovind laid the foundation stone of this centre. In this, about twenty-five feet high statue of Dr. Ambedkar will also be installed. Important compilations related to Dr. Ambedkar will be given place in this memorial. Yogi cabinet has allotted about five and a half thousand square meter Nazul land of Mauja Bhadeva lying vacant in front of Aishbagh Idgah in Lucknow free of cost under certain conditions and restrictions in favor of Culture Department for the establishment of Dr. Ambedkar Memorial and Cultural Center. In the Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial and Cultural Center to be set up by the Uttar Pradesh Culture Department, a library and research center with a capacity of seven and a half hundred people, library and research center, photo gallery and museum, multipurpose auditorium and office for meetings and lectures will be constructed.

In addition, landscaping dormitories, cafeterias, parking and other public facilities will be developed. President Ram Nath Kovind laid the virtual foundation stone of this memorial. On this occasion, he said that Baba Saheb has a special relationship with Lucknow. Apart from spending a lot of time in Lucknow, he used to call the culture here very dear. The President said that Baba Saheb used to say that the government’s mission should be for the welfare of all. That is why all the government should follow his experience. Today people do Hindus. Muslims. Baba Saheb used to say that we are all Indians before and even later, Baba Saheb had created a fundamental society by bringing out a weekly paper called Samta on this day for the ninety-three years. Earlier, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that on the instructions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Uttar Pradesh government is following the path shown by Babasaheb Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar. Not only in India but in the whole world, whenever there is talk of the voice of the downtrodden, downtrodden and the person standing on the last rung of the society, the world humanity will always take the name of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar with great reverence and respect.
