Many have started following this vision.Institute of Management Sciences- University of Lucknow has started MBA Entrepreneurship & Family Business. This course is a two year, full time post graduate professional programme inspired by the clarion call given by the Prime Minister Shree Narendra Modi, to use these trying times to become Atmanirbhar. It has been very well received to enable the resurgence of the Indian economy and MSME sector in India.This has been the fact that MSMEs of India are playing a pivotal role in Indian Economy and Atmanirbhar Bharat is possible with the promotion and expansion of Entrepreneurship and extension of family business.
Led by Prof. Alok Kumar Rai Vice Chancellor- University of Lucknow,Prof. M.K. Agarwal, OSD.Institute of Management Sciences, University of Lucknow feels privileged to contribute towards this endeavour of the Government by launching MBA Entrepreneurship and Family Business Management Programme.This MBA program,will not only train the young budding entrepreneurs for initiating start ups, but also hone the skills of those with existing family businesses in becoming socially sensitive business leaders,who will be able to take their family business to greater heights. It will systematically groom the new generation with a set of conceptual framework built around the family and social needs to make them more successful. This programme will be supported with many innovative teaching and training pedagogy such as Incubation Centre, Hands on Training and Intellectual Property Rights Cell, which in turn will develop the number of Patents in the competitive business environment.
This MBA Programme is designed to prepare students for entrepreneurial ventures and family businesses that has been the basic ingredient of the Indian economy for ages. Students, with this course will acquire a comprehensive foundation in the fundamentals of business as start ups or as existing venture especially in terms of use of analytical tools for intelligent decision making. Students will be counselled to develop a competent entrepreneur and a successful family business leader of tomorrow.The programme will increase the problem solving, conceptual and decision making skills of practising managers and will provide exposure to real life work experiences and hands on practice in collaboration with industry.
Upon completion of the MBA Entrepreneurship and Family Business Management students will be able to Understand the changing dynamics of competition and MSME as well as organization, brought by Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative. Be enterprising and knowledgeable owners of their businesses along with inculcating entrepreneurial qualities in them so that they are able to contribute to the productivity and growth of their businesses as well as economy.Become an entrepreneur and initiate sustainable start ups.
Have the understanding and skills to improve family business performance and harmony that will help them to align family ownership, business strategy and governance along with gaining administration skills for building and leading diversified businesses. Handle unique challenges of generational transitions in the family businesses. Expand their current business.
